i'm tired of only having daylight when i'm working. i'm tired of being sick and exhausted and in pain and not taken seriously by doctors. i'm tired of just never catching a break at my job. i'm tired of bad news and constant anxiety and slop and never having any money. i'm just. tired.

i will say this week was a bit exceptional. i had a horrible cold last week and made an effort to cook loads and get vitamins in me. was really craving fresh food too against the february urgh

wasn't sure if i could count things like wholegrain bread, rice, tofu, granola, juice and tea, oat milk, coconut yoghurt... so, maybe even more by that count.

read about an "eat 30 different plants in a week" challenge and just out of curiosity tallied mine up for the week. from what i remembered off the top of my head, i managed 31 different vegetables, fruit, legumes, nuts and seeds (and gave myself one point for herbs/spices) 😳

looking for the recipes and the gratin is from my ancient buxs cookbook, the cake from an equally ancient jamie oliver magazine. still sad they discontinued that 😔

baked yellow lentil dal with potato, zucchini and cauliflower + pastry dough paratha and egg yolk (meant to make boiled eggs but the whites were not cooked enough... still good with the yolk mixed in though)
