I believe the date was 24 September. And all the characters that appear in the song are named in the caption including Oberon and Titania, which is telling because the manuscript itself only says, “King Oberon & his Queen.”

Glad you enjoyed it. I guess I don’t know for sure if Freddie saw the original manuscript but I’ve always assumed not. I don’t remember the exact details of the manuscript coming to light, but I don’t believe it was widely disseminated at the time the song was written.
