Well, the season is almost over. Only a few games left. But I still love the game, the competition, the effort to work together to win the game.

Now I’m being told that, while I might still be allowed to attend the remaining few games, I won’t be allowed to cheer.

Just home from the ballgame. Such a tough loss to absorb today.

Now there’s a knock on my door. What, the umpires from today’s game?

They are saying I was being watched today.

Worse yet, they are saying that I need not worry about attending any more games.

All future games are cancelled.

We lost this one. Seething. Visceral. Wronged. Ashamed. We of the 60s remember flags, marching, songs of uprising. Do not be discouraged. The pot is heating, daily. Après ça, le deluge.

Feeling like I’m watching the end of a long ballgame. We were doing well until this last inning. The other team has just scored 10 runs, so now I’m eyeing the exit. You know, to beat the traffic.
