Matthews being the exception because it was an extension. He’s already established and has some bias and pull to stay where he is rather than uproot his life. Plus in terms of winning a cup Toronto maybe gave him better odds than elsewhere. I’m not a hockey dude though.

They’re dismissive not because they believe Toronto is a backwoods but because Toronto and Canada in general has a hard time attracting ANY big time player in ANY league. NBA nhl mlb. Doesn’t matter, top 0.01% FAs very, very rarely sign there.

Saw guys doing this in a WW2 plane back during the weekend of the most recent oshkosk. I forget the plane make itself (prob have a screenshot actually lol) The guts to do that flight is incredible.
