All of them have been proud Americans. Many of them have risked their lives in the service of their country. I find it appalling to see them slandered en masse for doing their jobs.

Beyond aid and assistance they have held key roles in their embassies, bearing responsibility for wellbeing and safety and security of staff, US as well as local.

Some of the best and most talented colleagues I have had, over the years I have spent working in humanitarian and development, have come from #USAID.
