Today is for big feelings, tired contemplation, and resigned thoughtfulness, and within this I can feel my reach is beyond my grasp.
It's Monday, and I've been thinking about Ripley a lot over the weekend.
Ian Holm as Ash lays out the company's true priorities, one of the most memorable rug pulls in or out of sci-fi. His assessment of the crew's immediate future prospects - punctuated with that incredible, humourless, simpering smile - is brutal and poignant, but entirely predictable and accurate.
