When I do videos, people always comment on my amazing wall of original Texas Instruments TI99 artwork above my computers.

So today, I finally added the 4th row along the top and also started working on the other wall on the far right adding one column to it.

What do you think?

The PPEB thingy is an amazing sidecar for our Texas Instruments TI-99/4A Home Computer. Using a Pi Pico W mounted on a board redesigned by dabone for SMT and running the firmware by the designer JasonACT it can emulate almost every hardware device.

Thanks in part to a kind donation from one of our supportive Texas Instruments retro computer clients, plus a great sale by #3dprintingcan on the amazing #BambuLab P1S Combo we have upgraded our OPA workshop.

What should we design/print 1st?

The OPA Coffee Bar is Now Open...

Nothing better than a hot cup of Java to get you through the long hours of coding daily when working on my various retro TI projects.

I upgraded my coffee machine, and added a filtered water container and a grinder so I can use whole beans. β˜•

With this new addition to my retro computer collection, along with the previous Yamaha MSX machine, and the ColecoVision/Adam system, and my new bed setup, I been busy rearranging all my equipment and desks and organizing systems, so I can properly use them all to develop on directly.

So I hope to join that elite circle soon and start making some new apps and hardware for this special system as well, since its very similar to the TI99 system, just uses a z80 cpu instead of a 9900.

Now recently, a large number of units were found in warehouse, and amazing developers have recreated the NABU Network using modern Internet protocols, and bunch of new hardware has been made.

Thanks to a kind soul I recently had donated to me this NABU Personal Computer It is an interesting machine as originally I was one of the Canadian Cable Subscribers that had one of these systems, in which you could play various games and other z80 based apps that were transmitted over the cable TV.

This bundle was kindly donated to me for just the cost of shipping and taxes from Germany and is in perfect condition with a printer and bunch of modules, that back in the day was the goto portable way that insurance adjusters and other professionals used to do complex calculations on the go.

The next step is to complete my project in recreating the 4A HexBus interface and coding up some new software for them with possibly some new hardware as well.

TI-74 S complete package has now been added to my retro Texas Instruments collection, making it now complete with the devices that used the HexBus system, as I already own the CC-40 (Compact Computer) and the TI-95 Procalc.

But now that I am back in Canada, after lots of bureaucratic paperwork, the government has finally approved me to get my teeth fixed up and to be covered mostly in part by my medical disability.

Another step to getting my health back on track and my life moving forward.

A Happy Smile is a Healthy Mind

Starting my journey in slowly getting my teeth fixed up living in the DR for over a decade there weren't really any good dentist places where I was hanging my hat on the island and then in Federal custody there were always excuses why their prison dental was closed.

Also what is this heard? Bowser is retiring? Does that mean I can get back to being the one True Bowser again?

With the cold Canadian winters that are coming soon, it means it will be getting dark early now, and with the number of retro projects increasing, I need to be able to see properly throughout the day and evening in my workshop area, so I cleaned it up and installed some nice bright shop lights.

Stay tuned as the next 5 years are going to be amazing and wonderful, so long horrible September 2020, I hereby throw you away along with my old used mattress and all those horrible prison mats I slept on.

And improving my health and well-being and of course keeping my brain active by working on many more cool and interesting new retro projects for my Texas Instruments and now ColecoVision Adam, more recently Yamaha MSX machines.

Thanks everyone for love and support and good wishes, and looking forward to having some solid sleeps along with some amazing dreams as I continue down this new adventure in my life and continue to focus on my rebuilding.

24.09.2025 05:23 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

But even that didn't go smoothly at first they delivered the wrong one and I had to wait a couple more days for the right one to arrive but finally Monday it all came together and I finally had a great sleep the best I had in 5 long years since my ordeal started on September 2020 that early morning.

24.09.2025 05:23 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

But this weekend thanks in part to the government finally kicking in some money via my medical disability and recent donations I was able to arrange for a proper new bed and frame that was designed for me just the right size, not too big or too small and the right height so I can easily get up, etc.

24.09.2025 05:23 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

But after almost 2 years sleeping on this well used bed it was hurting my back big time and it wasn't doing any flavors to my chronic lymphatic system either with my left leg being always so swollen at night.

24.09.2025 05:23 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Then yippy, finally a real roof over my head and the same bed each night, but it was a used bed that came with the place being furnished, which was a plus when I rented my own place as I had nothing to start with either.

24.09.2025 05:23 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

When I finally got deported, and sent back to Canada with my freedom, I spent basically another 6 months homeless, camping out on various friends' bad sofas or floors, wherever I could rest for a night in the big city.

24.09.2025 05:23 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I then spent 30 months, trying to sleep on various horrible prison mats, then when I finally got released from federal custody, another 2 months at ICE which had equally horrible beds.

24.09.2025 05:23 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I haven't had a good night's sleep in 5 whole years, since I got dragged out of my bed naked at the crack of the morning dawn at gunpoint by Interpol and Dominican Republic police on September 25th, 2020 for my involvement with Team-Xecuter.

I finally, had a great sleep last night after many long years of horrible sleeping, and I am looking forward to many more wonderfully perfect sleeping nights and with good dreams.
