Battle theme 1 and 2 are both insanely high energy and then dumping 3 on me and telling me to explore 5 more floors listening to that hot trash? Nah.

For fun, I put battle theme 1 for preemptives and back attacks.

Highly recommend. We need an Etrian 3DS Collection so more people can enjoy it...

I just put stratum 5's music for the field and battle theme 2 over battle theme 3. It just didn't fit the area at all. I get why you have the grungy battle music for S6 in like EO4 where it's a bloodstained ruined library, but in EO5? Waste of setting, man. (Vague bc a friend bought EO5 this month.)

My only complaints are that masteries feel less exciting than subclassing. It's neat to see what a class can do, then drill down to a specialization, but subclassing opens up to so much wild janky crap that shouldn't be possible... also, stratum 6 music sucked so hard I made a mod myself.

I have a warlock on another save that fucking womp-womps if I try to gather from a spent spot and said "epic fail" when he couldn't run. It painfully, beautifully represents the character I put there. Stellar stuff on the sheer amount of personality the voiceover adds. I wish Nexus was dubbed.

The Knightly fencer was the most level-headed... I gotta say, I love the dub. It's fucking cursed. My dragoon shouts "dance, sucka" and "pump up the jam" in the whitest voice Todd Haberkorn can muster and it's so, so fucking amazing. Pugilist? Shouts at people to bend over when she's confused.

I named my heroes after characters I write about for fun, and gave them hair/eye color and appropriate personality voices. It picked the Sassy pugilist for impatience, the Ladylike botanist was kind and considerate, the Rowdy dragoon did a lot of stupid shit occasionally by me manually choosing him,

Ho-ly shit. I now see why everyone told me I needed to play this one. The labyrinth layout was fantastic, the traits and adventures made for a lot of fun little interactions between my heroes... I wonder if the voice type influences who is picked in events?

I can't fathom being mad about having the chance to learn a fucking foreign language through mutual interactions with a neighbor.

Beats the hell out of the regular American neighbor experience, which has become "don't even interact with them" in the past like ten years

Showing off a racing game where most of the content is there from the start is a world of difference from a linear single-player narrative-heavy first person shooter. Yeah they're gonna keep a lot more of the latter under wraps, that's half the fun of playing the exploration-based game!

also a second screen. My god is it nice to have a second screen for maps and menus and such...

100 hours into Nexus, 30 into V, and an hour into 7th Dragon, and man have I never wanted a low to mid-power handheld device with smaller scope, cheaper, less graphically intensive games more
