A very substantial new collection just published - will repay study by all interested in the relationship between grammar and the way that language is used in interaction.

The image of the opening paragraphs of the new rolsi.net blog by Sally Wiggins Young and Amy Van der Heijden on the new EatSiN network
Eating together: a family at dinner, a nurse helping a patient swallow, a teacher supervising children, a guest appreciating a high-end tasting menu...
It's all surrounded by, and regulated by, talk.

17.06.2025 07:59 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Conversation Analysis ensures us fair & realistic understandings of peopleโs barriers/ facilitators to being more active, moving more, finding activities they enjoy. It comes directly from them, with the help of social care professionals that listen and make sure to support peopleโs choices. 3/5

Very inspiring listening to people with lived experience (e.g., from Activity Alliance) and to @brettsmithprof.bsky.social, lead of our #movingsocialwork project, discussing what co-production is, why it is fundamental to include peopleโs voice in knowledge production and how to dot it.

Then more black text says: โand others look like thisโ; followed by 5 human figures in color standing or waiving. These 5 figures do no show any visible physical impairments. More black text says: โThis means you never know who has a disability that you canโt seeโ. This is followed on the bottom right corner by the logo of Chronic Love Club which is a black flower.
I saw on IG this wonderful #inclusivedisability image by @chronicloveclub.bsky.social and I wanted to say thank you! In my own work, we struggle to see imagery of real inclusive disabilities. Itโs so important to give representation to all lived-experience, especially when we cannot directly see it!
