Conversation Analysis ensures us fair & realistic understandings of people’s barriers/ facilitators to being more active, moving more, finding activities they enjoy. It comes directly from them, with the help of social care professionals that listen and make sure to support people’s choices. 3/5

Happy to report that an expanded version of my roundtable contribution from 2023's 50 Years of the Urban History Journal conference is going to be published in the coming months. In it I argue for urban historians to expand on the connections between our work and the wider environmental humanities
