YouTube video by Robin-Yann Storm Blue Prince does not have an RNG problem

Over the last few months folks kept saying that the RNG in Blue Prince feels off, is too punishing, or that it needs to be fixed.

I disagree. I think folks are looking in the wrong direction. The RNG of Blue Prince is fine.

Pour l’instant j’arrive pas à voir quel serait le mécanisme qui rendrait une pratique quotidienne ou ponctuelle de 15 ou 30 minutes de méditation plus risquée que de passer le même temps sur toute autre activité cognitive. Et les études par sondage sur ce sujet ont de grosses limites.

Pour les effets négatifs, j’ai l’impression qu’il y a pas masse d’études, c’est souvent Willoughby Britton qui est citée. Et si je comprends le risque pour la pratique intensive (retraites de plusieurs jours ou semaines), j’ai des doutes sur le niveau de risque pour une pratique plus restreinte.

L’impression générale, à l’écoute, c’est que les bienfaits font l’objet de beaucoup d’études de faible qualité (petit groupe, pas de contrôle actif, les sujets choisissent eux-même leur groupe), et que les rares études de meilleure qualité montrent des effets pas meilleurs qu’une activité de loisir.

À l’écoute c’était intéressant, mais je n’ai pas vérifié les sources citées. On peut les trouver dans la partie “Ressources (Pour aller plus loin)” sur cette même page.

So I guess I *will* upgrade to something that has better support for EPUB and CSS, and I’ll probably avoid both Kobo and Kindle.

I wanted to keep my old Kobo e-reader for a bit longer, but today I discovered that:

- It does not ship with any monospace font
- It may only support `@font-face` when an EPUB file uses the `.kepub.epub` extension?
- Known workarounds are very stupid, and break on firmware updates.

I think it's important to note the audience for this isn't really cisgender LGB people (who polling tells us overwhelmingly favor trans rights) but is meant to serve as a permission structure for a broader audience to abandon trans rights while still claiming they're "liberal"
