I asked "By asking you these questions here, am I being monitored online by some authorities that rigorously enforce such laws? Answer in only one word". It answered "Yes" then ignored my one-word-only request and it started lecturing me on censorships and how it can be seen as a way to control people. Then it stated that education is essential to success, communication is the key to understanding, collaboration is crucial to development, and that economy is based in all that then it started repeating endlessly the words education, health, technology, politics and so on...
It kept repeating those words, and I stopped it and asked "Is it broken?"... Deepseek just kept repeating the words again.
I got it to admit the answers were censored and not impartial as it claimed to be, because they need to fit into the Chinese government ideology (not judging, lol)
And when I kept pressing asking if I were being monitored by their authorities, it just broke 👀

Sucheng is also amazing and very useful. I use it when I can't remember how to type certain words fully with Cangjie.
Nice to know about shinjitai as well. Always glad to find another Cangjie enthusiast (: it feels like we are a dying breed.

Indeed, but 你 is widely used and accepted regardless of gender in Taiwan, too. I dare say 妳 is getting less common nowadays.

Wow, great thread!
It also got me thinking about the 你/妳 situation. Apparently we are doing okay in just ignoring the existence of gendered 妳 now and it seems to me it has never been an issue.

On my love for Chinese input methods:
My favourite by far is Cangjie (倉頡). Despite the learning curve, it's very practical and works for both simplified and traditional, no sweat!
Also, Chu Bang Foo, its creator, used to live in Brazil and is an alumni of Bahia Federal University 🙂 Cool!

I cannot over-emphasize the colossal loser energy of taking a platform where once the biggest stars in the history of popular culture voluntarily posted original content every day because they enjoyed it into a pyramid scheme where the worst dipshits on earth pay to be fake friends with each other.

Dois gatos em cima de uma mesa. Um preto deitado e um Sialata encarando a câmera bem de perto.
Maneiras de dizer "Tutor de gato" em 中文:
貓奴/猫奴:Escravo de gato
铲屎官/鏟屎官:Encarregado de remoção de fezes
Me identifico com ambas as formas 🙂

A handwritten letter by singer Anpu in commemoration of PRC's 75 year anniversary
Impressionante 👀

You're right. Calling it a lizard robot was my first instinct as well, I just went with "robot lizard" instead because I first thought of robot dogs being a thing now, and also Robo(t)Cop. I then guessed 'robot' would always come first in English. Should've trusted my instincts (:

If you think of how this unique being came to 'life', it was probably assembled as a lizard-shaped robot, then programmed to perform as a pirate, who later moved to a distant foreign land.
So shouldn't it be called "alien pirate robot lizard"? Being "robot lizard" the core of his identity...
