I kept faucets running during our freeze. Penelope got into the habit of jumping into the tub to play with the water trickle and drink it. A few times she jumped onto the tub ledge while I was in the shower…and twice she slipped in. Thank goodness she didn’t freak out and scratch me.

Thanks, Dan. She had a long and fabulous life. I’ve had two pairs of cats during my adult years, and all four were special. Roxanne and Josephine lived to be 20. Madeleine passed two years ago at 17. It’s always so painful to lose them.

I have such sad news to share. My Precious Penelope passed yesterday. I cried and cried…and I’m sure I will cry more. Here is the obituary I wrote for her.

Gorgeous day to catch the parades!

Happy Mardi Gras! Yesterday was the Krewe of Cork parade. My friends and I dressed as the Doris Day Drinkers. We had perfect weather and great crowds. Since we all look alike, I’m on the right in the first picture (hot pink sunglasses).

Dad and Young’s dog, PoPo. She’s very sweet.

Birthday lunch for Dad on Sunday, with his wife and my brother. Jeff and I left Billings this afternoon; Jeff lives in Dallas, so he’s home. I have a few hours to wait for my flight to Jackson then I have an hour drive home. Long day!

Penelope popped up on the e-frame in the room I’m staying in at my dad’s house. 💜

Oh boy, Bluesky finally figured out where I live; my state now requires social media apps to prove users are not children. Bluesky now has a service to provide that info, but I backed out of it the other day when I thought it was spam. I’m out of state right now, hence here I am.

Definitely me. Miserable.

Opened my garage door this morning and saw these beauties. They stood still, watching me as I watched them. Soon as I put the phone down, they scurried off. That’s when I saw that there was a fourth deer. Sweet little family.
