I'll spare you the essay about musicals and say Pippin is my personal favorite musical. I've seen it reinvented so many ways, and amazingly, it works every time.

And I can't wait to see Ncuti Gatwa again in the Importance of Being Earnest next week! That was the most fun I'd had watching a play on screen in ages. Then, just last year, I saw a local production of Nonsense and Beauty by Scott Sickles, which moved me so much that I can't stop thinking of it.

I loved Enda Walsh's Medicine with Domhnall Gleeson, but I don't know if it would work with another actor. The same goes for Benedict Cumberbatch as the creature in Danny Boyle's Frankenstein. It was such a powerful performance that it elevated the entire production.

This is so nice of you, but this is such a hard question to answer! 😂 I feel like there's Shakespeare (David's Macbeth FTW!), and then there's everyone else. Plays are so hard because so much of your enjoyment can be based on the performance as well as the script.
