I see artists trade their patreon and ko-fi links all the time and it seems sometimes like it's only other artists and a handful of regular followers that pass those round.

It really does help. Previous clients saying on comm ads they had a good experience also helps a lot too.

The way I view the arts is pretty simple...
I don't have competition, I have comrades. Art is far more enjoyable when you treat it less like an arena through a lens of comparison and more like a journey with people to learn from along the way.

Commissions will be opening this week, and any shares of those would be super appreciated to help kickstart the process of getting my decrepit computer a new heart.

With a new part-time job, I'm hoping I'll be able to make up the funds soon, because I also just need a functioning laptop, period, art aside.

With that being said, it's something I need to save up for. Unfortunately, this means that timelapses will be a lot more sparse for the time being, as my computer just isn't really capable of making them anymore.

So, since my computer consistently shows my battery as needing service/replacing, that's what I'm going to do. Much more affordable (although still fairly expensive), and hopefully my lil computer will be able to chug along for a few more years.

Recording videos almost bricks the poor thing entirely, and even trying to paint digitally causes lagging to the point that a ten-minute piece could take thirty minutes.

Like...desperately. My Mac is a 2019, and it's been very much showing its age lately. I don't have nearly enough in the budget for a new laptop, but it's reaching a point where I'm unable to effectively work.

The ArtClan prompt on Warriors Amino this month was an Autumn-y color palette - I chose Firestar as a subject because he sorta embodies that already, and I wanted a simply colored cat that would stand out.
