Co-host of Flyover Footy. Too many hobbies.
Dead on
29.10.2025 16:31 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Had a lot of learning to do didnโt I? Glad I could win you over a bit over the yearsโฆand I appreciate you giving me more chances.
29.10.2025 15:55 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0LASTLY! I do have lots of โmess upโ Flyover scarves and if youโd like one I have two offers for you:
-stop by my house and do a porch pick up for free
-Venmo me $10 and Iโll ship it
For either option, please DM me.
Thanks all. โค๏ธโ๏ธโค๏ธ
As you know by now, @MattBakerSTL is the driving force, and all around GOAT in this community to me. You wonโt notice much change other than my absence. Itโs maybe the most vexing moment in all of CITYโs short existence and weโll need him and the guys to help us sort it all out.
29.10.2025 13:09 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Itโs not goodbye. I know Iโll be filling in, and I hope to do some Open Cup coverage on the side. No big deal but I just didnโt want our wonderful, faithful listeners to wonder what was going on.
29.10.2025 13:09 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thought Iโd make a small announcement as we wrapped up the final official show of the season last night that Iโll be stepping away from weekly shows at @FlyoverFooty. Itโs purely a family decision! I have three boys and their time needs grow yearly.
29.10.2025 13:09 โ ๐ 31 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 1Sure do. But Iโm missing the next game. Iโll announce next event I go to.
17.10.2025 19:17 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That said, I canโt imagine taking a risk finding someone successful in MLS, already incorporated into the team, loves the city/fans, and defends as much as Klauss does.
01.10.2025 14:17 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Been thinking the same about building around Klauss. Oscar might have a point, in my mind, that perhaps if you donโt want to build around Klauss perhaps a striker with more diverse abilities makes more sense than bringing in a high dollar winger (Iโve wanted one of those for a while now).
01.10.2025 14:17 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Have to wonder if Sangbin affected it. Or the LAFC defense. Either way youโre right and Critchley and co have to figure that out.
30.09.2025 19:31 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I found it kind of interesting how well McSorley did with Klauss. McSorley is a natural finishing striker that likes to lead the lineโฆcould be something to learn from. Could be a one game outlierโฆ
29.09.2025 23:51 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 0Now that probably doesnโt apply to a guy being escorted out & shouting about pride flags. But I hope I wouldโve been open to being his pal until I clearly needed to not be. I think Iโd fight for my brothers & sisters he was berating if need arose. But not before? I dunno, how does that strike you?
12.09.2025 21:12 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I see these folks as the people we have to convince to join us in tearing down the bad parts of our governmentโฆfind common ground. If theyโre at a soccer game (for soccer), thatโs an easy start! Beer too maybe.
12.09.2025 21:12 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I donโt say this as something Iโve figured out or fully believe yet, but Iโve been trying out being upset with the government institutions, cronyism, and legislation that I think have gotten us to where we are rather than the people who may play into their ideals.
12.09.2025 21:12 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thanks for saying something Abby. I absolutely understand why you feel that way. Perhaps itโs naive of me to feel the way I do.
12.09.2025 21:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Had a blast w/ @phillgrooms.bsky.social again. 45 min of news and Montreal/CITY match talk and then a great wind down of big picture + discussion on this weekโs off the field issues.
Hope you enjoy those convos as I think we hit a ton of #AllForCITY angles on all these
Very kind of you Tom. โค๏ธ
12.09.2025 17:44 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Celebratory fallout!
10.08.2025 19:45 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Matt and I are still taking turns traveling, so a bit of a change in schedule. Thought Iโd drop that weโre live streaming our show in about 30 minutes and Iโm joined by @hornekerjustin.bsky.social!
08.08.2025 12:38 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1Quite happy! I hope they do well!
29.06.2025 00:33 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Could be some rotation. @stuarthultgren.bsky.social guessed perhaps a Zalinsky start and I like it. If Wallem isnโt 90โ fit I hope we see JGR and Ostrak as subs.
28.06.2025 19:47 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0What a game. Talking to my son and weโre listing who weโre rooting for. I know I get upset about MLs rules and Open Cup hate, but when CCC and CWC are on I root hard for the domestic clubs. Miami is my number one right now and a lot of that is bc there are ๐บ๐ธ to root for!
24.06.2025 13:47 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0just saw a group of masked men stuffing masked ICE agents into an unmarked car, who were saying "we're ICE we're ICE!" but the abductors shouted to the crowd "no we're ICE!" no one knew who was ICE, so no one in the crowd said anything.
21.06.2025 17:36 โ ๐ 27536 ๐ 5031 ๐ฌ 891 ๐ 609As we discussed this I actually kept forgetting good players were available. The guys agreed that Becher did enough to get another shot. I wanted Ostrak but Watts earned itโฆWallem had to be put in. Good feeling to have a bench, but I hate missing out on Kessler and Lรถwen. ๐ฅบ
14.06.2025 16:39 โ ๐ 10 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Oh yeah thatโs bc heโd need to be loaned up from city 2.
02.06.2025 18:33 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0CITY2 player. Played cm with the first team in preseason. Heโs put in a lot of time at left back for the second team this year.
02.06.2025 17:19 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Iโll just add, that since Celio often goes wide itโs not that big a deal to have a right footed, underlapping left back when heโs on the field. Tho, one or two of Reidโs overlaps really seemed to help Celio on Saturday.
02.06.2025 16:36 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Relevant: The MLS Secondary Transfer Window is scheduled to open on July 24, 2025, and close on August 21, 2025.
Critch will have Reid, Wallem, Totland, Watts, Hiebert, and Cilley as likely left back options until that window at the soonest. Only Reid and Cilley are left footed, if you care.
He was one of the best players in the game statisticallyโฆimo
02.06.2025 16:25 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Normally youโd critique a Sporting Director for leaving a roster with 1 natural left back for a span, but that position has been such a problem for especially Carnell, but also Mellbergโs need for a wingback over a modern left back. Not innocent, but not fully at fault either.
