Skateboards and Livestreams: DHS Tells Police That Common Protest Activities Are ‘Violent Tactics’ DHS is urging law enforcement to treat even skateboarding and livestreaming as signs of violent intent during a protest, turning everyday behavior into a pretext for police action.

The Department of Homeland Security is telling police to treat mundane activities like skateboarding or live-streaming at a protest as "violent tactics."

This is disturbing, dangerous, and could easily lead to excessive force against people who are simply exercising their First Amendment rights.

Another ICE "assault" case unravels. Border Patrol and ICE are arresting US citizens and then after they find out that they are US citizens, they are charging them with "assault" to justify their actions. This is clearly DHS policy at this point. We've seen it repeatedly now.

Our government shouldn't be able to consign people to conditions in a foreign country that would be constitutional violations, and criminal too, here.

Defunding them just harms people who already struggle to find places to get care.
