There are 4 species of horseshoe crab which are still living. T. gigas is a species from the Indo-Pacific. The blood of horseshoe crabs (like most mollusks) contains the copper-containing protein hemocyanin rather than hemoglobin (the iron-containing protein), which is the basis of oxygen transport

My linocut horseshoe crab is hand printed on 8” x 8” cream coloured Japanese paper speckled with some tiny brown bark inclusions. The crab is viewed from above and its body is printed with a base of grey, with some darker gold-green especially around the edges to give the impression it is a bit domed and then texture, edges, hairs around the edge of the horseshoe shape and the tail are printed in dark brown.

This is not unimportant, as in monolingual LB tombstones, we often find words without W- that look like a name. Based on RIL 803 we may surmise that some of them are patronyms too.

Note that having long genealogies is very rare in LB tombstones, so RIL 803 is quite special here.

Thus we have a nice combination Punic / LB

mʿsyzltn / MSYZ₂LN (note the extra t)
...]syrn / MSYRN
ʿ[... ...]ln / WSBL(N)

The Punic patronyms are expressed by bn "son of", while in LB they are not expressed by the otherwise ubiquitous W- "son of", except, maybe, in WSBL(N).

The colums of the LB inscription can be read from left to right - as one can see on the photo, the design is not extremely regular:

The first W can also be a different letter. There may be an N after WSBL.

The stone is lost, but, fortunately, in the 1950s, the epigraphist Jean Marcillet-Jaubert found some photos and rubbings. Very low quality, but better than Mélix. Due to the painstaking work by Marcillet-Jaubert, we now have a reasonable idea of the inscriptions.
