7. I started the book thinking that the protagonist Undine was hilariously stupid, continued it thinking she was the world's greatest literary villain, ended it feeling incredibly sorry for her. Good book, grimly amusing, I wish I had read it years ago, won't reread in a hurry

6. Pretty good, but felt a bit rushed. The stories of 4 women in Genghis Khan's family. I would have liked to have spent more time with each of them. Storyline gets a little muddled which is what happens when you are fictionalizing real people. I still enjoyed it but I doubt I'll reread.

5. Satisfying conclusion to the series, a TON of unexpected (to me) tie-ins to the author's Ancestor series. Apparently lots of easter eggs for his other books too...I teared up a little in parts, stayed up LATE to finish it. Truly enjoyable read! (the Enemy WAS a Friend...and an asshole)
