My ex's mom worked for a chiropractor for like 30 years and what I came to understand was that they kinda fuck up your spine just enough so you need to keep buying contraptions and adjustments forever. Her neck was basically ruined and it never occurred to her to go to a real doctor about it.

Reflecting on this as I finally nuke my twitter accounts. Replacing my locked account with a real paper journal. Maybe I'll write out replies on my journal entries as my various friends, by now I have a pretty good handle on how they might respond to things.

Discord also demands more concentrated attention than chats that are rolled into another social media app. Plus you don't have the benefit of already having a bunch of people blocked, and it's not as easy to add people. Overall just not ideal.

I wish this place had group chats because discord doesn't really work like twitter group chats did, for example it's not as easy to make a quick side chat outside of the main chat to talk shit if needed. That's the kind of thing that keeps a group together for years.
