the sidelining of xue fangfei during the last arc is just unforgivable to me, like she's the main character!!! it's a little infuriating how they just reduced her to a worried lover who waits around sadly for her husband to come back from war when she was an active driver of the plot before 😖

'the double' just completely fell apart in the last 5-6 episodes sighhh. it's so disappointing cause the dogshit finale is kind of coloring my view of the entire show, which while not perfect, was still solid and very entertaining up until that point

The last few years have seen the largest wave of immigration in American history. All those images we carry in our heads about people arriving at Ellis Island — we just surpassed that. Crime went down. Real wages went up. This is a fake problem. Enough is enough.

Immigration is a fake problem. We have politicians on the one hand who want to use immigrants as scapegoats for our real ones and politicians on the other who are too cowardly to stand against them and tell the truth. That is the entire situation. Until that changes, people will continue to die.

one thing i did like abt the pjotv finale was thalia’s reunion with annabeth after she comes back. annabeth starting to cry when thalia recognizes her and tells her she’s grown was so :’’ i was like :] the whole time bc it reminded me of a post-som thalia fic i had been trying to write ages ago lol

ultimately, i think it was promising in the first couple of episodes and definitely a lot more entertaining than s1, but the second half of the show didn’t stick the landing, and a lot of the new stuff the writers added kinda fell through. many thoughts.
