He only stared at her for a second longer before he leaned down and crushed his lips to hers, immediately ignited by the sparks that flew between them; like fireworks.

Spencer pulled her as close as he could get her, keeping her body still as his tongue slipped forward to seek entrance.

Spencer had almost forgotten he was half naked until Freya had begun to trace into his skin again, making another small shiver escape him. The longer she taunted him with her touch, the more he longed to close the distance between them. He dreamt of that night in Kirkwall often.

Then they spoke.

Spencer's fingers continued to slide slowly through their hair. "I want to give you everything, fenorain... In so many ways," he murmured, fingers tightening at the hold on their waist. The heat spreading through him felt like an inferno, now, needing to find an outlet.

He didn't think he would ever get over just how beautiful their eyes were. Exactly like the trees in the Emerald Graves... especially when they glistened with tears.

Emotion gripped him at her words, and he fought the sting of tears as she made him look at her. "I want to be your safety, too." +

He was sure she could hear and feel how hard his heart raced with their proximity. And with that closeness, he couldn't stop the way his skin warmed and journeyed lower, making his ears burn.

The sound makes his chest tighten and warm simultaneously, and he slides his hand up to card through their thick, dark curls when their head nestles against his chest.

"Ara'lin," The word comes out as a low rumble, and his hold tightens just a fraction. "I would face the Gods themselves for you." +

Spencer smiles softly as he watches their cheeks redden and their expression change. The hand under her chin moves to rest on the one over his heart, and he closes the little distance between them in a warm
embrace.

"I care about you a great deal, ma'ise. You deserve to know."

"You are what my heart is missing, Freya," he murmurs, heart racing at the confession. He reaches up with his free hand to pull them closer by their waist, nearly flush against him now.

"I don't want to spend another moment doubting what I *know* I feel for you."

His expression remains calm, though his gaze remain locked on her as she continues touching him. He reaches with one hand to hook a finger under her chin, brushing his thumb along their jawline while his eyes search theirs.

"Likewise..."

His gaze heats as they come closer, and a light shiver runs through him as her fingers find his chest. "Looking for something in particular?" He asks teasingly, voice low.

"See something you like, sa'lathin?" *grins*

He huffed out a small chuckle, moving to sit next to her. "You are too kind. I think the most beautiful thing I've been compared to is a rabid wolf," he joked.

He turned his gaze to meet hers. "How are you?"

He shamelessly looks her up and down, taking in each detail with a growing, mischievous grin.

"You bring the stars themselves to shame, sa'lathin..."

I could certainly say the same of you... I don't think I've ever seen eyes so blue.

Is that right? Anything in particular?

Depends entirely on the person... but I think so, yes. *smirks*

He inhales sharply at the tug, and his eyes narrow as he tries to will away his arousal. "Gladly. These things are going to be the death of me."

I wouldn't say I'm nostalgic...

*grins at their indecisiveness before handing the small journal over to them. the only page that's filled out is his grocery list.*

I sleep on my stomach.

I dunno, I thought it was a fairly innocent question. *shrugs* Would it make you feel better if you knew how I slept?

Oh, nothing important. Just for future reference. *tucks journal away and looks at them curiously*

Illario was right where Spencer knew he would be. His expression softened as he approached the other man from behind, and leaned down to kiss the top of his head.

"Good evening, vhenan," he greeted, moving to sit across from him. "I got your gifts." He smiled softly and set the brandy on the table.

"I could have not come at all," he joked, rolling his shoulders. That was a lie; wherever Liam was, he wanted to be, too. Loyal attack dog, indeed.

Warmth spread through him at the next sentence, but he forced his expression to remain neutral as he eyed the God and braced himself for her next move.

Spencer doesn't relax as the monster slinks backwards, and barely reacts to her words. His only tell is the way his ears twitch in mild annoyance.

He hears Liam gasp and spares a quick glance toward them as they stand, giving them a wry smile before turning back to Ghilan'nain. +

*nodding and taking notes* Yes, that's exactly what I'm asking. *gives them an amused smile*

He smiles as he comes across the brandy and cards, and his expression softens as he sees who they're from. Brandy wasn't his go-to, but it looked expensive... And he wasn't about to refuse a free drink.

He leaves to find Illario, pocketing the cards.

The flash of a sword comes down and slices through the tentacle wrapped around Liam's throat, and he glares at Ghilan'nain as the other falls to the ground with a thud.

"Gladly."

He stands ready to strike again, eyes flashing dangerously.
