Nazi concentration camp prisoner population by year

ICE is currently holding around 80,000 detainees. Nazi Germany didn't reach this number in its formal camp system until 1942, nine years after seizing power and three years into the war.

It would be great if the top two stories about the executive branch were not a huge multinational child rape coverup and the establishment of a gulag of concentration camps

NEW: ProPublica went inside the detention center for immigrant families in Dilley, Texas.

Children held there told us about the anguish of being ripped from their lives in the United States and the fear of what comes next.

They have now removed the Pride flag from the Stonewall Inn.

Erasure. Just like the Nazis.

Starmer Faces Storm of Criticism Over Ex-Ambassador’s Ties to Epstein

Starmer's premiership is in danger of ending because an ambassador he appointed was named in the Epstein files.

This stands in contrast to the US where the President is directly named in the files over 5000 times and suffering no real political consequence.

They will be warehousing people.

And treating them as objects.

These are concentration camps.

The Minnesotans trapped at home, too terrified of ICE to go outside: β€˜Our house is like a jail’ The surge of federal immigration agents has forced many families to remain inside for weeks, living in fear of roving ICE patrols snatching people off the street

JosΓ© hasn’t left his house for 29 days – not to shovel the snow at his driveway, not to fix up the car.

When the car needed an oil change, he video-called his wife, Sara, from inside so he could walk her through it. He’s afraid to even get near the front door.

There's a ChatGPT ad about a family farm where the owner says her family has been doing this for a hundred years and she doesn't want to be the one to screw it up and that's why she's getting advice from ChatGPT and, my God, can you people hear yourselves?

No due process, no court dates, no access to lawyers, inhumane living conditions, and rampant abuse against detaineesβ€” all under the guise of immigration enforcement.

It's systemic torture in these concentration camps. The regime are deliberately pushing these people to breaking point for sport.

If this man loses his organ because he was denied his anti-rejection meds, it’ll probably kill him AND will be a huge waste of a very precious resource that thousands of people are waiting on.

Just a quick update from the Twin Cities. (Please forgive the unsolicited message). THINGS ARE NOT BETTER IN MINNEAPOLIS. The media is mostly moving on, Trump is focused on other stuff, BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED ON THE GROUND. More than 2,000 DHS thugs continue to roam the streets, abducting people 24/7, assaulting legal observers with impunity, and routinely denying 1st, 4th, and 5th amendment rights. Drones and helicopters are overhead every day. Hundreds and hundreds of terrified families have not left their homes since mid-December ... relying on the community to bring them food and help with rent and other necessities. (Those people are NOT violent drug cartel sex offending murderers, as DHS would tell you. Most are legal residents or citizens.) If anything, things have just become more stressful and intractable (think trench warfare as a suitable metaphor): The resistance is better organized and numerous, but DHS has become more clever and better at disguise... and the county sheriff's office is increasingly supporting them . Do not let anyone tell you that Homans (the new person in charge of the occupation) is making anything better. Do not let anyone tell you that 700 ICE agents leaving the city has made much of a difference; the remaining force (again, ~2,000) is still larger than the entire city's police force (which is legally unable to do anything). Please call your congressional reps ... especially if there is any chance the administration might listen to them.

Call it what it is, @nbcnews.com. Concentration camp.
Every time.

The OED defines a concentration camp as β€œa camp in which large numbers of people, esp. political prisoners or members of persecuted minorities, are deliberately imprisoned in a relatively small area with inadequate facilities.”

Regarding the leadership of agencies that should operate without political interference, it worse than we feared. It's not that they would obey an order to engage in a cover up, but that they understand their job to be covering up, no orders needed.

The political class and business elites would be happy to see attention to Epstein fade away. But the broader public won't allow it. They correctly sense something is rotten about the earlier investigations (or the lack thereof) and the current coverup...and they're right.
