Could also have something to due with her lack of an immune system. I wear masks outside if it's below freezing, or the air is particularly bad (wildfire smoke, etc), and I'd probably wear one if I was interviewing garbage, too.

I'd say ~40 hours max, but if you're cool with straps behind the head for a better fit, consider an N95. 3m Aura 9210 is great for most, I personally like the Vflex 9105 for breathability. Fit is the main problem with KN95s, it's just really hard to get ear loop masks snug against the face.

Yeah there's no reason for you to get infected, just don't breathe in any infectious particles :) I'd start by cracking a window open and put any vent fans on high (bathroom, microwave, range hood, etc), and keep as much distance as possible. I'd also wear an N95 or better and get some HEPA filters.
