I prefer to understand all historical events, as then I would have knowledge of every event that occurred in my life.

Had a good conversation with my dad yesterday where we were able to dig into my #unraveling process. We focused on how my attitude toward Christianity has changed. I don't look at how well people follow the rules, but on whether their attitude and behavior mirrors what Jesus proclaimed.

This speech cannot be fact-checked, because he is 25 minutes in and has yet to say a single honest or accurate thing

Since last summer, I've attended church with my parents on Sundays and then visited with them for lunch. Before that, I hadn't attended church in person for four years. The experience has helped me in the #unraveling process as I pick up on those troublesome elements of evangelicalism.

Recently I was #unraveling the distinction between "joy" and "happiness." In evangelical circles, joy is often framed as something not influenced by external factors, as we should "joyful in the Lord" despite hard times. But even the happiest people can be beaten down circumstances.

Why is #unraveling necessary? What I learned is that the effects of growing up in a Christian bubble are hard to identify. The challenge lies in differentiating between the teaching of the Bible and the principles of society. I have to be intentional to expose the conditioning of that bubble.

I've been trying to figure out my identity on Bluesky, and I've finally figured it out.

I grew up on a home that went to church at least three times a week, and I attended a Christian school and university. Over the past decade, I've been #unraveling the effects of that Christian bubble.

The “burn it all down” people in Trump’s government are incompetent. But don’t think their tinkering around in Washington doesn’t have consequences. Planes are crashing, your prices are going up; and diseases are spreading. Very soon, their stupidity will touch *all* of us.

What can you do?

Don’t give up hope. Dictators feed off your hopelessness.

Don’t quit. Dictators want you to give up.

Punch back. Dictators are bullies, and bullies are cowards.

Stay tethered to the truth. Dictators need you to believe their lies.

Resist. Stand with others.

As an Eagles fan, I am so excited about how the Super Bowl is going so far, but I keep thinking about that time the Falcons collapsed against the Patriots. Don't make that same mistake, Philly!

There is no such fucking thing as being “too woman” to pilot a helicopter, “too gay” to land a plane or “too black” to be an air traffic controller.

There is however, such a thing as being too hateful, too stupid & too sociopathic to be president.

And we call that Donald Trump.
