Did a fake perspective shader in Godot and itโ€™s not entirely accurate to real perspective but itโ€™s wrong in a pleasing way.

I still see a lot more job posts for Unity and Unreal. Obviously jams will have a lot of low-experience devs but I wonder how much of a Godot talent pool is being underused by industry.

Are you tripping up on shader vs shader material? Two materials can use the same shader and have different uniform values but then you can re-use the same material in multiple places and they will share values.

I came to Godot from Unity which does the same thing so I was used to that one.

Your squash only makes the ball shorter but not wider, and I think because youโ€™re shrinking from the centre it kind of pulls up away from the surface itโ€™s supposed to be colliding with.

Itโ€™s trying to evoke older computers where youโ€™d have limited colours within a tile/character so it checks for the two most common colours in each tile and then dithers between them.

I know itโ€™s small in the grand scheme of things but it seems the bootleg action figures blog has been replaced with a bootleg version of itself.

I think it uses photos from the original but the text feels AI written and includes posts about online gambling.

Re-using in other projects Iโ€™d think thatโ€™s a Not Going to Need It.

For not breaking saves, you can include a version number in the save file and as a last resort handle old saves as a special case.

Made a palette swap shader in Godot. Uses a 4x2 texture to re-assign colours so you can easily have 6 swapped colours if you werenโ€™t going to use full-saturation rgb, cmy
