Unfortunately, it's not that easy. Denmark would request NATO assistance, but decision at NATO are taken unanimously, and US would, of course, object.
There's also EU mutual defense clause, but knowing the heroism (sarcasm) of my EU compatriots — Greenland is gone already.

There is no reason not to take the Canada and Greenland stuff seriously. It is having real effects and Trump's whole political career has been boundary pushing and mainstreaming the previously unthinkable.
