I will give the point that cis people with little experience around trans women drawing us more masculine is a more nuanced situation, but even then as long as we are drawn with care and positive intent I am fine. Might wince a little if done poorly, but I won’t hold it against them. Let them learn.

I agree with all of what you said tbh. I get a certain tingly feeling when I see art where we aren’t perfect. Not all of us are going to have a body that not even many cis women could hope for. Seeing art where I can see what I am as pretty without having to be perfect is amazing!

But like some trans women want a way in which they can see themselves without those reminders of their bodies, and that is chill. What’s the current issue people are on right now?

I don’t know the discourse. All I know is that I do not care how people draw us as long as there is well meaning intent. I have not seen the current discourse, but I have seen in the past people argue about drawing us with non feminine features. I personally love that kind of art though.

Exactly, I only ever bother to combine the ingredients because someone I care about enough gets enjoyment for something I otherwise couldn’t care less one way or the other.

We can be ace and still have it for any reason. We just don’t really crave it or anything. I’d live my life coming up with the craziest kinkiest thing then never doing it because I don’t got a reason to.

Any other time it is just an unpleasant bother that I could enjoy way more imagining.

Flawlessness is its own greatest flaw. There is a story that can only be told in a work of art that can only be seen in the flaws of a flawed piece. Visual art, musical, or literature; it doesn’t matter which. Embrace imperfection for it is what makes you into you.

I could be handed quite literally the technical best and most flawless art piece, but still I would find myself enjoying the amateur with flaws for the unique story and humanity that can only be told in the flawless. Flawlessness itself is its own greatest flaw. Real passion is seen in the errors.

There’s something to be said for amateur writing where the writing starts rough around the edges, but you feel the growth of the writer as they improve that invests you beyond just in their story. It’s why I prefer an imperfect work, as a perfect work with no flaw ever does not evoke those feelings.

Mix this with the feeling of seeing an amateur writer grow and improve through their story’s writing, and it ads a whole nother layer of feeling and personality to it all.

Perhaps part of why the ending felt so good is the way that there was decidedly no perfect happy ending as things cannot be perfect, but nevertheless still an ending where everyone lived the best they could in the end enjoying the rest of their lives. A joy to listen to.

Made all the better by listening to good music after like Bloodhail by Have A Nice Life from the Death Consciousness album for that nice extra touch of somber but freeing closure.

In a different non mechsploitation story I have spent over 40 hours chewing through over a while, I have finally reached the end. Really satisfying the way it ended having told its story not baiting more by leaving a random loose end to close on. A wonderful yet somber feeling of closure.
