You just know someone was really excited that they were using AI art.

It’s just all so sad. If they had paid a local artist to paint something, it could have looked nice (or at least it awful) AND the money spent would have gone back into the local economy.

People need higher standards for public art.

Furthermore, did no one look at this image and say “this isn’t very good, we could have better”?

Did they have not a single photograph of people celebrating Christmas that they could use? Not one artist who could have painted something? Must we be beset by the soulless horror in the name of saving money?

I remember reading a hypothesis that Sun Tzu was not a grand military general, but an accountant who wrote the book for young nobles eager to prove themselves by going to war, not knowing what they're doing, and wasting money and soldier's lives. So he wrote "Warfare for Dummies" to save money.

As long as you know about it. (I know nothing of these cloud flares you speak off…).
