My rez only got a full scale grocery store in August, and many rely on a combination of commodity food and SNAP, as commodity food is often lacking. Many hunt but that doesn't cover all nutritional needs.

Aaand we are installed! all my hardware seems to be working. I got connected to WiFi, the desktop is nice and simple. So easy install for me. I did not like that I could not see the log data of the install. I think that should be an option and the default one.

after finishing the installer instructs you to reboot but doesn't offer a convenient way to do this. once you reboot you are greeted with a blue screen that asks you to enroll a MOK. another point against average usability. That screen is going to terrify grandma.

This install... this is boring... is it working? is anything actually installing? all I see is a spinnor.

oh... I haven't reinstalled an OS in so long I forgot that when doing so one must figure out how to enter the uefi boot environment and switch the boot drive to the USB media we just created. that is another point off of usability for the average user. install is ez so far otherwise.

continuing from where I left off yesterday... installing Bluefin Linux which is an atomic Linux Based OS, promises mostly hands free maintenance when used as a basic traditional desktop OS. I'll be putting mine into "developer mode" and using it as a daily driver.

point is, I don't think there is a perfect solution for the average user to install a completely new OS. I think Apple and Microsoft know this. So then how do we move forward getting free of corpo rule & influence over our communities lives? Going to stay focused here but, something to think about.

Alright I'm creating the USB media right now. fedora media writer makes this ez... Though, I was thinking, most users don't install windows or OSX and if they have trouble with their OS, its just trouble with their PC and they take it in to geeks, or a genius bar or something.

It means that the right, who is in control of issuing grants, is against diverse views in tech. They hate more than they wish to build. If we want to get this work done we are going to have to fill in the funding gap as a community.... that is what it means... because our government is failing us...
