Yeah, if he carries on like he played on Saturday it'll be a short and sweet stay, sadly. Is it FACT we've got an option?

A wild Louis AppΓ©rΓ©d! Football is back, baby

As we won on Saturday and it wasn't terrible, I splurged out a few thoughts on the match over on my Substack. Read, like, subscribe etc πŸ§‘πŸ–€ #CamUTD

Neil Harris masterclass βœ… Excited to find out from his post-match how many different mentalities we exhibited. A very promising start πŸ–€πŸ§‘

Really like the look of AppΓ©rΓ©, especially if we can get another striker up there with him. Knight should be fun this season.

Don't read that as a complaint, by the way. I'm more than happy for us to be fairly attritional as long as we come out on the right side of it more often than not. And we have the players to do so.

Seems like a decent enough signing. League Two promotion on his CV (where he was a regular starter) and young enough to improve. If we get one more forward in this week dare I say our transfer window has been... not bad? #camutd

Neil Harris on Charlton friendly | Cambridge United F.C.

Hard not to feel inspired after hearing Harris in usual, bullish, mood. But also hard to believe it's really a new era if we go into the first game of the season with Lofty as our only available striker. Big week coming up. #camUTD

Incredible local news item. No one should have their buns squeezed against their will in a supermarket.

So despite their protests about him not being for sale, I suspect he is for sale and we haven't bid the right amount yet. I wonder if we will, he certainly seems an ideal Neil Harris Player for a Neil Harris Football Team

'Not even to Man City' - Swindon won't sell Smith under any circumstance Ian Holloway has ruled out any possibility of Swindon Town selling Harry Smith this summer after turning down an initial offer

The interesting thing about this Harry Smith story is that someone at the Swindon end keeps leaking our bids, cos clearly it's not in our interest (or, really, the player's) to keep being so specific about the sums involved; www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/253271... #camutd

GPU giant Nvidia becomes first company to hit $4 trillion valuation Chip firm continues to cash in on the AI revolution

GPU giant Nvidia became the first company in history to achieve a $4 trillion market cap when its share price rose earlier today. Despite various warnings about an AI bubble, Jensen Huang's money-printing machine shows no signs of slowing down just yet: www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/news/nvid...

xAI granted permits for 15 gas turbines at Memphis data center Campaigners dismayed as permanent installation of turbines is approved

But is the environmental and social impact of the data centers a price worth paying. I guess that's for the people of Memphis - and their representatives - to decide: www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/news/elon...

So xAI is bringing revenue to Memphis, and funding infrastructure projects in an area that isn't flush with cash. Its growing presence will likely make the city more attractive to other businesses, too. Unsurprisingly, business leaders are lapping it up: www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/news/elon...

This isn't like some random IP-based software/biotech company. It's one that actually makes a physical product for a market that is growing fast and where there aren't tons of other options for buyers. Our Industrial Strategy should revolve around keeping and growing firms like this.

It's always interesting to me that the government pull out all the stops for some relatively small industries (eg, fishing) when there's an issue, but will presumably do nothing to stop a potentially massive company like CMR disappearing off to America. Priorities seem muddled.
