I never really appreciated just how beautiful beaches after a storm can be. There is a hint of the raw power of nature still in the air. But also a feeling of serenity,as one begins to wander and explore treasures the Ocean may have spat out.

#Coochiemudlo Island, within #Moreton Bay had a few deep scars after the storm, but soothed now, the #Ocean‘s gentle waves returned me to a feeling of a momentarily #peaceful mind.

What an amazing morning at @qcameldairy! Facts I learned: 🐪
- They smell great! Earthen and a bit like a dry, mossy evergreen forest floor. A bit musky, a bit sweet.
- They are so so gentle and intelligent!
- Their milk is super healthy!
- They have the kindest eyes!!!

Hoomans, Cattos, and Ponios are all safe.
Neighbour’s sheep came visiting for cuddles and some of our fences, fly screens, trees, and fridges suffered and we have been without power for 6 days now. I am sick of cold showers, but that is only mental damage ;)

I remember that. I was driving around the affected areas rescuing horses from flood waters.

Hope you‘ll stay safe. It‘s slowly starting to batter us here. Loads of rain, and quite the gale. We brought all horses to the most elevated paddocks. And normally we don’t flood. But we obviously haven’t had this kind of weather here since we moved here 7 years ago.

Knowing we were in for an intense spell of bad weather, we used the beautiful weather for a spontaneous day trip to one of my favourite places: #O‘Reilly‘s at #LamingtonNP in #Seqld
