After waited for monthsโ€”

These are my artworks those I did for Signalis community artbook that held by amanettc! (You probably seen Falke one before)

I'm proud of these arts, I love the ideas of Signalis girls with their unique yaku from riichi mahjong.

Minute Cryptic Solve a clue with a hidden meaning

Ooh, I don't think I've seen that idea before, clever!
I solved Celia's Minute Cryptic member clue!

I've reported it as an issue on their app. We'll see if anything happens.

Apparently not... it's McGills' app and *they* don't support tap-on tap-off on their buses, so presumably that's why it's not a problem on *their* buses.

13.10.2025 18:07 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I *did* use the physical stored-value Tripper card, which avoided this problem entirely, until they discontinued it. Just a terribly designed system. I guess I need to remember to turn NFC on and off all the time.

13.10.2025 16:26 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

So there doesn't seem to be a good way to reliably avoid getting double charged unless I disable card payments or NFC entirely. It's just random which triggers first.
I've already turned on "transport payments require confirmation" but it does nothing.

So... Glasgow has multiple different bus companies and they all have different (bad) payment systems. I use a Tripper ticket because it works across several of them and I can pay for one day ticket. It comes as a QR code on the phone... but First Bus combine their QR code reader with tap-on/tap-off.

Iirc a lever energises the block it's attached to, whereas redstone has no interaction with it... could that explain the difference? I will admit I get quite confused understanding, once a block has been energised, which spaces around it will then react.

I haven't played it in like 8 years so I am probably remembering wrong, but I think you have to power the block supporting the rail, not the space the rail itself is in... Does that make a difference? (Like, that redstone line pointing into the junction wouldn't affect it, I don't think.)

Today I learned the official Docker images are all built from templated Dockerfiles[1], which expand snippets of jq in your Dockerfile. The templates are converted into full jq scripts by an awk script[2] and fed to jq. Amazing.

Two A4 pages of pencil diagrams of parts of the bag. It doesn't show measurements, but it explains the structure and layers and shows where the visible stitches are.
The outside front is a wide rounded rectangle, with a narrow panel along the top, a broad panel along the bottom, a zip in between and two small panels to cover over the zip ends. It has no separate lining but there are simple unfinished panels inside to cover over the zip ends there too.
The inside front is basically a single grey panel of the same size.
The outside back is more complicated, formed from the top down by a zip (with panels to cover the ends) a padded mesh and a narrow panel on top of the padded mesh along the bottom. This one *is* lined on the inside.
The inside back layer has a flat panel on one side and a three panels on the other, with the middle one having a large mesh pocket attached to it.
The central core of the bag is a loop formed by a simple bottom panel and a top with a zip and two edge panels. These connect to each other to form a loop with the seams on the inside and then a grey ribbon is stitched over them to protect the raw edges.
Finally, the front and back layers are stitched to the front and back edges of the loop, again with the seams on the inside and again with a grey ribbon stitched over them to protect the raw edges.

Really, I spent a long time thinking about this.

The outside of the bag's zip, which is the side without the teeth. You can see two blobs of black thread at the edge of the zip fabric away from the teeth, where I anchored it. There's a tiny loop of black thread emerging from the fabric and immediately disappearing again between each tooth.

The inside, where the teeth are. The teeth are a continuous nylon coil. You can't really see it clearly as it's so dark, but there's a tight loop of black thread coming out between each loop/tooth of the coil and wrapping around it to hold it in place.

Okay so I spent hours analysing the bag and figuring out what order it was stitched together in and which seams I'd need to unpick to replace the zip, I bought replacement zips and sliders... and then just sewed the nylon helix back onto the fabric. Seems okay!

A friend said she finished Act 2 of Silksong in 30h (or was it the whole game? I don't know...) and I cried. My Switch says I spent >100h to get close to the end of Act 2.

Especially interested in any games with interesting interaction between these, e.g. if your knowledge of the space allows you to better prepare appropriate equipment for the route, if there are shortcuts to be found that are especially relevant for making a safe or a fast delivery, etc.

Please name me some video games about learning to navigate a space and making deliveries safely and/or efficiently, either as a main goal or a sub-game/quest. So:
Yes: Silksong courier quests, crazy taxi, GTA
No: Paperboy (no navigation), Super Metroid (no good match for "making deliveries")
