And because it doesnโt do solely to come on here to shamelessly self-promote, hereโs another piece of news: I have bought rather a nice Volvo. So. Thatโs exciting.

19.11.2025 15:31 โ ๐ 16 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0In short, I want to help you to buy your next car Carmly. So thatโs what the new service is called. Itโs launching today, in association with Palmdale Car Finders, and Iโll be offering the service independently too before too long.
You can find more details here: www.palmdale.co.uk/carmly/
Hello. Me again. Just popping back on here to tell you that Iโve started a new car-buying service.
The idea is that if youโre not sure which car you want to buy, you can tell me exactly what you want and need from your next car, and then Iโll give you three great options for your budget. โฌ๏ธ
All I can say for now is 'it will be'. We had some ideas for a rejig for Season 2 but they've been put on hold for reasons. We do want to return to doing it - it's just life has been getting in the way!
19.11.2025 15:18 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Decided to take a step back from all social media a few months ago for my own mental health. It's done wonders. But all's well! Thank you for your concern. Just popping back for a bit of shameless self-promotion!
19.11.2025 15:17 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Been using the Buzz for Buzzy stuff this weekend. Chairs coming soon to a podcast near you (in all their hideousness).
20.07.2025 18:59 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Definitely one to jump at if Iโm ever offered the chance!
20.07.2025 10:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Well thereโs a blast from the past. We stayed in that exact hotel block a few years ago! In fact our room is in your picture!
20.07.2025 07:54 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Can vouch for the slickness of the column change on the Ds, having now tried a couple more since. Was also surprised by how nice the dash-mounted change was on the Traction. In fact, what blew me away about the Traction was how modern it felt for such an old car.
19.07.2025 11:11 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0We used to have a metric fucktonne of these when I worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Was always a bit of a guilty pleasure when youโd get to take an SRi Exterior Pack with the optional pano roof on a delivery run. Entirely meh to drive, especially with the 1.8 petrol, but they looked great!
17.07.2025 22:38 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Sounds like an absolutely banging night in!
17.07.2025 12:25 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yes, but just every once in a while, itโs important to remember that you owe it to yourself to stay up late and eat as many biscuits as you like.
17.07.2025 10:48 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0โDay 342: they still donโt suspect Iโm a Mk3โฆโ
16.07.2025 18:17 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Utterly glorious!
16.07.2025 14:04 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thereโs an ASpture tooโฆ
16.07.2025 09:17 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Glorious!
15.07.2025 12:34 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yup, canโt speak to the other areas as I havenโt skied many of those, but the upgrades to the lift system in the last 10 years or so at the Pass Thurn end have made a huge difference - not least the Panoramabahn, which holds a special place in my heart as itโs the first lift I took my wife up!
15.07.2025 12:22 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thatโs a long old schlep - took me most of a day to ski it, let alone walking it! My folks once had a small flat in Mittersill so we always used to ski the Pass Thurn end of the ski area - amazing views down into the Salzachtal and Leukental, and usually lovely and quiet until mid-morning!
15.07.2025 12:02 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Looks like youโre somewhere up above Hollersbach? Been a while so I could be mistaken!
15.07.2025 11:37 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Agreed, though there is always the Kona Electric. Admittedly not quite as cohesive a design as the Ioniq 5, but eye-catching in its own way and just as smooth to drive!
15.07.2025 09:51 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Great cars too!
15.07.2025 09:49 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah Iโm definitely not an EVangelist. Iโm lucky enough that one works well for my use case but I also know there are plenty of use cases where they donโt work just yet.
15.07.2025 09:18 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thank you sir!
15.07.2025 09:17 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0There are good reasons why Iโll always take my cars to Rich for any kind of serious fabrication or rust repair work.

Ahh thatโs a shame! It actually feels quite compact to us, having come from a Superb Estate!
15.07.2025 09:02 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Will be sure to post about it!
15.07.2025 09:01 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I donโt doubt it. And even if they do need a charge, they can do it at 240kW, so 10-80% can be as little as 18 minutes. Just enough time to go into the services, use the loo, buy a coffee, and get back to the car!
15.07.2025 09:01 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thank you. Yes, it seems pretty relaxing. Looking forward to the first long road trip in it!
15.07.2025 08:59 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Oh wow. Some choices were made.
15.07.2025 07:46 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0About three hours.
