Yeah, I'm convinced it's a Dark. I agree with your comment on scarcity.
I've conversed with one of our verifiers, who has seen a few, and he likes it. I had a candidate a few years back but I think that was wishful thinking.

Challenge number 2 from last night.
I think this looks good for Dark Marbled Carpet. Long projections on the upperside, nice white flash, and underside of hindwing post median line is faint but looks angular. #TeamMoth

Bit of a tatty specimen, but I can't see what else it could be. Yes, North Staffs is probably similar habitat to here too.

Feeling somewhat under the weather today, so the last thing I needed was a series of challenges 🤔.
The first, I believe, is Mompha miscella (Rock-rose Mompha). Very tiny, 4mm ish. Habitat here sounds right, and the food plant is present. Thoughts, please 🙏 #TeamMoth
