I thought so, too, but the unlockable character modes were surprisingly not too bad since they can skip the majority of the map.
But yeah! Loved just about everything about it! The character swapping mechanic was very fun to play with

I feel there's at least a couple. I wonder how many games have like, a bump if you run/dash into the opponent.
