As Pride Month comes to an end, letβs remember the Stonewall riots of 1969
We must honour the spirit of Stonewall!
Pride is a protest, as well as a party!

NEW: Weβve uncovered how the EHRC met behind closed doors twice with anti-trans group Sex Matters to discuss rolling back trans rights. What they said will alarm you. 1/6

If you're in the UK, you can get a sticker for Β£1 (stamp + envelope) + 'pay as you feel' here: canopyrobin.sumupstore.com/product/pay-...
If you're anywhere else, unfortunately the only way I can afford to do this is as a freebie when you buy a pride pin at: canopyrobin.etsy.com (let me know!)
These are incredible!!
24.06.2025 06:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've never been able to understand why (state) sixth form colleges have to pay VAT? When we buy things like graphical calculators in bulk for students to buy, we have to charge them 20% more than their peers in schools. If we have to pay it, private schools certainly should!
13.06.2025 15:38 β π 7 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0Fun fact: in the 1960s, Civil Rights protestors were given literal classes on nonviolent protest; they didn't all just spontaneously know what to do.
So, if you're planning on showing up, this weekend: read this comic. And if you're staying home, signal-boost it/link it around.
"bsky is not fun, the algorithm isn't showing me funny posts :/"
skill issue. you obviously need more horse game + art history analysis in your feed
Considering the outrage of literal children peacefully camping outside the EHRC its clear they just see Any protest as unjustified and to be met with scorn instead of consideration
Im sure this will only make protests more gentle
Has it happened to you? Have you been questioned, stopped or challenged using a single-sex space since the Supreme Court ruling on the Equality Act? Let us know: tinyurl.com/ReportALoo25 Illustration of a toilet
If you have been stopped, challenged or harassed when using a single-sex space (such as toilets or changing rooms) since the UK's Supreme Court ruling on the Equality Act. We need to hear from you.

Where did she get the legal advice from? Grok AI?
Goodwin vs UK makes it very clear that Article 8 does apply.
I firmly believe David Walliams should be punished to the harshest extent of the law for (waves hand vaguely) whatever they can think of
12.06.2025 11:55 β π 207 π 24 π¬ 7 π 0Solidarity and support for HSDC and Alton College workers on strike today. Good for you. Love and support from the rest of the post-16 sector. You're a force for good in the areas where you are.
13.06.2025 06:28 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Pride isnβt a marketing moment.
Some firms who have supported Pride are advertising on GB News β a rightwing TV channel known for pumping out hatred of LGBTQ+ people.
Weβve teamed up with Stop Funding Hate to get these companies to pull their ads.
Support our action π

Kishwer Falkner has been a disaster for the EHRC (long before recent events, and not just on trans issues).
If she has any integrity or concern for our rights (the rights the EHRC exists to protect) she will resign now and let Govt appoint someone who can.

The pressure is working, the Governing unity between the Tories and Labour against trans people is beginning to break apart.
Keep up the pressure, keep organising, keep contacting your MPs, keep ensuring your workplaces and community spaces resist.

21.05.2025 11:35 β π 2981 π 765 π¬ 50 π 10The key question in this short but damning (of the Supreme Court) letter by Emeritus Professor of neuroscience at Cambridge Uni is this;
βWhy should genitals supersede brains?β
The βSupremeβ Court has decided our bodies matter more than our souls, our minds.
It is an extreme dehumanization.
Just so I'm clear. The EHRC were able to do all the necessary work to get legal advice on interim guidance in 9 days and within 4 weeks have produced an updated guidance with a consultation, but they cannot respond to a letter before action in 14 days or 21 days (which is FOI time period). Liars.
20.05.2025 15:26 β π 53 π 16 π¬ 3 π 0It's been exactly 6 months since I launched my first enamel pin at canopyrobin.etsy.com
Since then, I've sold over 700 pins to people across 13 countries and more than 300 towns π€― I've also made 5 more designs in 28 variations. Thank you so much to everyone who's bought and shared them!
I think people need to delete their menstrual tracking apps. They have already been used as evidence against women accused of illegal abortions. This is a crime that can have you sent to prison for life
18.05.2025 10:46 β π 29 π 16 π¬ 1 π 2Politicians saying they can't march if they can't do it as their party are interesting. So there's not a single community group already registered for the parade that would let you march with them? Damn, sounds like you have some work to do engaging the LGBTQ+ communities you say you support.
13.05.2025 07:35 β π 135 π 39 π¬ 2 π 0UK gov pledges nearly Β£500,000 to support LGBTQ+ survivors of domestic abuse.
π Queer people face unique barriers to safety. This funding could be life-saving, but is it enough?
π’ Survivors need more than promises. They need protection.
Would love to see some ally mps actually oppose the segregation of trans people rather than accept the premise but insist we βarenβt left without facilitiesβ
Im not thankful for provisions of segregation

09.05.2025 06:31 β π 20 π 7 π¬ 1 π 0The message is pretty clear here: Barclays Bank is anti-LGBT rights. Just don't bank or invest with them if you value LGBT people having rights
08.05.2025 11:29 β π 549 π 131 π¬ 23 π 6People often wonder why "Trade Union Membership" is included in GDPR's definition of "sensitive personal data"
The reason is a little historical moment better known as the leadup to World War II.
In 1975 a National Front fascist shot dead a Jamaican man, Hector Smith, in his home in Glasgow. Weeks later, over 100 trade unionists were arrested as they picketed an NF rally at Kingston Halls.
@parcelorogues.bsky.socialβs new pamphlet tells the story. It was launched at a packed meeting!
