Maybe I'm being cynical, but I somehow doubt that many of these people don't know a) how much an audit costs and b) that the government is doing an audit all the time. I suspect that in general they just say "We're going to find savings by auditing the books" like they can't do that with FOIA.

I've done Costco runs on the bus where if I walk it's 3 hours and if I take a bus it's about an hour. If you go on non-peak times and can take up a seat or two around you, it's doable, but really, it's better to take a couple extra trips by bike or walk most of the time.
