A good example probably is Skyrim, actually, originally I could play OG skyrim on Ultra when I got the thing, but now I experience hiccups on Skyrim SE while on a custom series of settings that are closer to low-medium. And that's with minimal modding. I just hope the new toy is accessible.

I've enjoyed my time with the little boxy bastard, it and my partner's were, like every other piece of tech I own, a gift from well-off friends. If I get the new one (probably from my brother who says he wants to upgrade me/my partner's PCs) I will remember it fondly lol.

--mostly low. Oh also when I got it I had to create a windows boot stick on it cause it came prepackaged with steamOS and at the time most games on steam didn't run on linux. Also it didn't work as a computer like the new machine advertises since, again, steamOS wasn't built for that.

Well I had to upgrade the ram to 8 from the original 4, I've had to replace the power supply twice on both my and my partners (yes they also still use one) and the fan on my partner's has gone to shit. Currently mine also can no longer connect to networks wirelessly, I need ethernet.

As someone who's still using the old steam machine from about 10 yrs ago I'd honestly be so happy with it. Current ones kinda dying out so being able to play the games that used to work would be a dream.
