I've been trying to understand the plot and premise of the Garfield show based on this account, and so far I'm coming up blank.

My instinct will always be to assume that anything a major social media site is doing is probably nefarious and should be stopped, but also these things can be trojan horses that wind up punishing users instead of platforms and I don't know enough in this case to say if that's what's happening.
