You don’t fight the right by meeting them in the middle. Instead of shifting rightward in attempt to reach voters across the isle, push back against the xenophobic and white supremacist rhetoric and promote actual solutions for the struggles working class people are experiencing.

Anti-immigrant sentiment is growing among working class Americans because democrats have failed to push back against the idea that the rising cost of living is a result of immigration. It’s not. It’s caused by unchecked corporate greed, price gouging, and poverty wages.

It’s incredibly frustrating that the Democratic Party insists on capitulating to right wing framing on immigration rather than addressing the lies and misinformation spread about the so called “migrant crisis”.

Immigrants are good actually.
