*It would let the stranger know that becoming a hybrid is very not good, but they seem happy. It can't bring itself to make them sad. Instead, it tilts its head curiously. What is cat? What is kitty?*

*It nods, then draws Gigi in the dirt. It knows Gigi has both an eely form and a legs form - that is how it can give itself legs sometimes if it really really tries hard! - but it has only seen them in their tail form.*

That makes it think though, maybe the Not-Mokou can withstand hearing it speak? Not many can for long. It draws a question picture and an ahh-row, trying to indicate it wants to ask a question.*

*It nods. It's known many mean people. It draws one of the White Coats, and an Ahh-Row pointing to it, before looking back up at them. It's pretty clear they're giving an example, they hope.*

*The Not-Mokou is still confused, but there isn't anything else they can draw to explain things better. It just looks up at the Not-Mokou, hoping that things will become suddenly more clear to them for no reason. That would be very useful. It... Is probably not going to happen.*

*Now that it can see the stranger a little better, they look like the small one the Mokou lives with, who looks after the smallest one! Maybe this is a friend? It waves again, happily, though it doesn't move closer. Some people are easily scared after all. It knows this very well.*

*It catches sight of her, and gives a polite wave. That is a manners! Whatever a manners is. But waving hello is one of them!*

*It tilts its head. It cannot speak to reply, that would hurt the Not-Mokou, but it has been learning the picture-speak a bit. It draws the question picture in the dirt next to the shadow it's in, though the dot at the bottom looks more like a line.*

*Local eel is wandering, looking for people it recognises. Maybe friends of the Mokou or the Mokou's pack. School? What is a group of humans called?*

*It gives the Not-Mokou a wave, politely. Important to greet people after all! It thinks. Saying hello seems important at least.*

*The Eel pops its head out of a shadow slightly, looking curiously at the stranger. They look like Mokou. Are they part of the same species as Mokou? Mokou species?*

*The eel doesn't understand. Nobody belongs anywhere, you just stay where you want. Why can't the Mokou stay? Why? What is stopping the Mokou? Is it a someone? The eel will bite the someone.*

*It whines a bit louder, and clings a little tighter. It doesn't want to lose the Mokou. Not now not ever. No no no. It hides its face against their shoulder, making a very sad sound.*

*It leans into their touch, eyes closed. It just wants to protect the Mokou... It doesn't know how though.*
