Flotsam//Jetsam being mechanically playable as a mono-blue card makes sense to me, sure, you can play either side with only blue mana.
But bending its color identity so it’s playable in mono-U, or even a jeskai deck, simply feels off to me.

Rewdownloaded it, and started a new game. Giving it another shot.

I never beat this game. Made it to Ultimecia's Castle, and hit a wall. I love everything about the game... except for playing it. It's the most "Lynchian" of the FF games, and I love that about it. It's a bizarre game, which makes for a mix of a compelling narrative, but with unintuitive gameplay.

Douglas was absolutely robbed of a highlight reel level play on his stat sheet for no reason. We’re still gonna win, but we all know we coulda won harder 💪

Douglas had one of his best plays wiped right off the stat sheet by that phantom flag. Truly egregiously bad call.

This card is undoubtably great, but I’m sad that it is already such an obvious strict upgrade to its fellow FF card, and new personal favorite of mine, Relm’s Sketching.
