- I don't think I've played Superstar Saga all the way through since I was in Middle School. One of my most vivid gaming memories was when I was sick during a Holiday party, so I locked myself in my dad's office and just tried to beat Chuckolator the whole time. Playing through this game as an adult, that fight was a lot easier this time around 😅 As I went through this game just waiting for Metroid Prime 4 to come out, I seriously couldn't put it down. I was constantly thinking about it, and just wanting to get back to playing, which I can't say I've done with a game in a long time. The characterization and world of the Beanbean Kingdom, Mario and Luigi and everyone else in this game is so good. As much as I love Starlow and Stuffwell, its also just so fun to see just Mario and Luigi work together. I love how this game plays: the Bros moves and fighting is just a blast. I found a lot of glitches this go around that made me laugh, and honestly only made me enjoy it more! (Also very proud of how my drawing turned out! 😊) I’m playing Partners in Time now and will surely play BIS sometime this year too!

Mario and Luigi Partners in Time is a good, fun game with a few glaring flaws. The concept, world & themes behind the Shroobs and Time Travel plot are so much fun, and bring in so so much to the Lore of the Mushroom Kingdom that I will always love it for that alone. Playing this back to back after Superstar Saga did make me realize just how different the two are though. As fun as the base game is, two things throw a bit of a wrench into it matching it's predecessor. Adn weirdly enough both boil down to how Bros Moves work. With them being tied to items, and ultimately money (Which you get so much of by the end of the game its ridiculous) it causes a few weird problems. First, there is never once a reason to use basic jump and hammer attacks, and severely nerfs both sets of Bros when they split up since they can't use their full arsenal. Second, because the Bros Moves are so strong and there are so many infinate attacks, every enemy, and especially bosses, becomes a health sponge and takes such a long time. Even with those two things dragging down the combat, its still a M&L game at the end of the day. And while not as great as it's sister games, its still a ton of fun. I would kill to see a Shroob cameo in the Mario Galaxy movie, and I love the lore from this game to death. Next up, Bowser's Inside Story!

That trailer was so freaking awesome. And even awesomer that there where characters in it I haven’t added yet! I feel silly how much I loved that the MoeEye was in Tosterena, and even more so in the Casino cube! In the meantime. MoeEye is silly, awesome, and deserves his big screen debut

Not only did we get Yoshi and Birdo, but it seems like the whole 8-Bit Gang is here!!! Clawgrip and Mouser are here, so if Wart doesn’t make an appearance, I will be shocked! I can’t believe we’re this close to seeing him back! Also, surprise Moe-Eye in Sand kingdom too!

That Trailer was incredible!!! I cannot wait to see what this full movie holds!

My 2025 in Nintendo! Lots of Mario Kart, Pokémon and DK Bananza, with some Metroid thrown in at the end. It was a good year overall, and I’m excited to see what 2026 brings! 😊

Something I started last year and want to fully post is sharing drawings for games I’ve beaten! Starting with Air Riders! See Alt text for my full thoughts on the game, and expect my drawings of last year’s games soon!

Kirby Air Riders is almost everything I wanted Mario Kart World to be. A fun little story mode, bosses, uniform outfits for everyone that don't pad the roster (Except for regular Waddle Dee, he's a waste of a slot) and just a love for the entire series. Mario Kart World has one thing over this game though. I'm way better at Mario Kart 😅Still, this game is so much fun, and so stupid good looking. I'm still working through and unlocking everyone, but finally got the true ending on Road Trip, and feel like I've completed enough to share my thoughts! Bananda Waddle Dee is still my favorite, and My Machine is such a unique a great feature that I would love in more games! I'm glad I got this for Christmas, and will be enjoying it for a while to come!

This won’t be the end of my Year of Mario project! It won’t be every day anymore, but I still have some plans for big releases and silly things! So don’t go anywhere, Mario sure isn’t!

I know that Tumble is the true Millennium Star, but the other guy’s design is so much cooler! While simple and just an upside down version that’s colored purple, I’m still proud of him! I’d love one day to fully share my Mario comic idea, and this guy is a big part of it! Here’s to hoping I can get to it one day. Thanks again for sticking around! 😊
