In February, our partners met in Thessaloniki for the #AntiDop kick-off. In a short video, our project partner, Dr Susana Papadopoulou, outlines the project's objectives. Dr Papadopoulou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the International Hellenic University.

[3/6] #AntiDop wants to provide comprehensive training to Athletes Support Personnel (ASP), like coaches, nutritionists, managers & parents. The goal is to raise awareness, offer scientifically valid information, promote prevention, and mitigate unintentional violations of anti-doping regulations.

[2/6] The utilization of these supplements among athletes is widespread. However, it's imperative to acknowledge that not all supplements are safe for athletes. Consuming products that may contain banned substances can have severe repercussions on the athlete's health and their future in sport.

Doping is a global phenomenon. However, not all athletes violate doping rules by intention. Unintentional violations may be caused by a lack of knowledge, contaminated supplements, or medical treatments.
