Interpreters have a target on their heads because they provided the US military the means to understand the enemy. Jiminy Christmas.
Sitting in the captain's chair for the first time on a new ship is always thrilling. The controls that allow me to take control are in the arms, their lights softly twinkling... as though danger isn't just beyond the viewscreen in that #starscape they mimic.
