At the BMX track Noah was hanging out with the big boys at the top of a berm. Reported to me later that "Nathan", about 12, asked how old he was. "You're well good for 6!" said Nathan. "Is that you're little brother? He's well good too." (Obviously he missed the crash). Discussing later Noah said "I think I was accepted by the group." Like David Attenborough mingling with mountain gorillas. At the BMX track: "Be careful Matthew!" Matthew careers down the start ramp and rockets over the first hump, still picking up speed down the dip and up the other side, momentarily leaving the earth like an ungainly chicken and wiping out in a cloud of dust. I've no idea why Emma gets nervous when I take the kids out.
I realise Meta and Zuckerberg are evil incarnate…the only positive being memories, like these from 9 years ago
