I keep trying to think of things that excite me right now for next year. The starting pitching is pretty much all I can come up with right now.

Discussing with family. Consensus is 2023 hurt more. But 2025 is sadder.

I don’t hate the dodgers players. Just the way the media talks about them and all the deferred contract crap.

I’m rooting for the mariners but…that sucks, I like seranthony.

I find myself weirdly disappointed with the Phillies again. And like yeah I know that coaching alone isn’t the reason they lost but idk….it just feels…….meh.

Listening to national announcers talk about the dodgers is a form of torture, I think.

Oh for the love of god, can the Brewers please not pull a Phillies 2.0 here? Can they please win?

Having a tough time determining if I’m more in the denial (“they’ve gotta come back next year!”) or bargaining (“please come back next year, I’ll buy your expensive jerseys!”) phases of grief on an individual player level.

Definitely depression for the overall state of things.

He interviews in a way that makes me feel like he knows he’s not coming back. It hurts my heart.

Actually if I’m being honest, I think I’m more sad about Kyle probably not coming back next year than I am about them not winning the WS.

I’m going to ignore the Phillies tonight bc I’ve been sitting in the “acceptance” phase of grief since yesterday & I kind of want to stay there. But.

Good news for the Phillies is that the healthcare system has replaced them as my #1 nemesis. 🥳

At the end of the day, I love this team. I don’t want most of them gone. I don’t think they are sucking on purpose. I am just sad and mad, and honestly…anger is my catharsis.

I have a Phillies shelf. It’s a shelf of honor. On it are bobbleheads of Stott, wheeler, & schwarber, as well as funkopops of Turner & Harper.

Today I removed the Harper, schwarber & Turner items from the shelf of honor. They’re now hiding behind picture frames.

My first thoughts upon waking:

Why couldn’t they just win one at home?
Why were they just playing for a tie??
WHY IS AARON NOLA STARTING GAME 3?!?!???!???

I am pretty sure I will not be watching on Wednesday.

I’m hoping a silver lining here is that he’ll be gone after this year.

I was never big on blaming him for losses and he’s certainly not THE reason for the loss, but I think he’s a part of it.

We went to the parade in 08. It’s one of the best memories I have with my dad who has since passed away. I was hoping to experience it again before I, too, died, but at this rate I’m not feeling too good about it. 😞

The too-short comeback effort took me from 100% rage to 70% rage, 30% sadness.

If they don’t use this embarrassment as fuel to somehow pull two wins out of their butts in LA, I say leave them there.

I’ve had this thought before too. There might be something to it!

They can keep bader too.

At this point, keep wheeler, Sanchez, Suarez, and Luzardo. Keep JT and Stott for defense.
