In my paper, I analyzed how COVID-19 lockdowns affected biodiversity data collection. It was interesting to see how, even during lockdown, data collection skyrocketed during eBird Big Days in some countries (Costa Rica in the figure).

Happy to share our new paper! www.nature.com/articles/s41... Five years ago around this time, most people were entering the first COVID-19 lockdown. We analyzed how these restrictions affected the amount of biodiversity data collected during the lockdown, using data from @gbif.org
