My most recent read. It’s an interesting history of the Yellowstone Trail, and the evolution of the U.S. highway system.

My curiosity would, but not the rest of me.

There was a time in the SD #BaldlandsNP when a group of us were enjoying the prairiedog town when a bull bison calmly walked up to us use the parking barrier pole as a scratching post! We were paying more attention to the prairiedogs and didn't notice the bison until it was nearly among us!

Q11 #Parkchat As for practices that I think should be discontinued, I think Park personnel should stop watering the grass at Mammoth. The grass is not a natural feature and was introduced by the army. It attracts elk, which causes a.lot of dangerous human-elk encounters.

Q8 #Parkchat We never thought of Yellowstone NP as a place of mountain views before the ‘88 fire. When we came back in the spring of ‘89 we were.blown away by the gorgeous mountain views. Like - ‘I didn't know there were mountains there!’

Q6, #Parkchat, so many trails, so little time. My favorite trail is the one I'm hiking with my hikin’ buddy! Summit Electric Peak, Mt. Sheridan, Skyrim Trail loop, come to mind. Or, a backcountry trail to a remote thermal area, or waterfall, sounds fun.

Normally, you're not supposed to graffiti public property, but I would have corrected the sign to read “Radical Republicans” and set the record straight.

Q5 I’m all good about keeping a safe distance from wildlife. But what I want to know is when the sign says “Don’t approach wildlife,” what do I do when the wildlife APPROACHES ME?!

Q4 Yes. I believe the historic buildings should be preserved because the record of history itself needs to be preserved.
