Feeling down about platforms, but ever encouraged by the artists getting out there with fresh sounds. We need an absolute cacophony to drown out the apathy. Today's Bandcamp Friday feels so; the time we can more directly support artists.

In my experience it was around the same time as I had an LP releasing and it was kind of an exclusive for their store in the promo cycle. Perhaps still good timing to pitch?

Ying Yang Twins - Whisper Song is somehow way better and more explicit as a “clean” radio edit.

I do believe this will (for now) greatly limit my listenership. I’m ok with this, but do lament this is one of the hard choices other musicians must make in the current music industrial complex.

I’ve made the decision to not provide this album to Spotify. Plus by the end of 2025 I hope to have all the music I have control over off that platform.

My next album will be release October 24th entitled “Em Dash”

It’ll be my 27th LP.

Understood. Have you seen a shift in the musicians you follow (not personally knowing) that focus on authenticity appeals rather than community calls to action?

The buzzword is Authenticity, especially accounts coaching engagement. I’m scared it’s an attempt to atomize growing DIO for music makers.

Sounds paradoxical, but does content farming around the “authentic individualism” quiet Free Palestine or anti-ICE? Have you witnessed a turn in your timeline?

The music industry already a closed circuit, needs more dehumanizing?

These grifters learned well from the ridicule received when they tried to sell optimism. Now the word is inevitable, removing any opt-in.

No accident those pushing NFTs as a solve for the music industry by and large took their grift to AI.
